I recently stayed at the hotel and found it to be a mixed experience. The rooms were not very spacious, especially compared to the Kilauea Tower where I had stayed previously. However, the service, especially in Kona, from valet to reception, was top-notch. The location by the Kamakameha statue was convenient, with easy access to paddleboards and a relaxing stopover before heading to Honolulu. The dining experience in the Hula Hula restaurant was overpriced and not very satisfying. Despite some shortcomings, it was a decent stay overall.
